Friends of the Birth Centre Townsville is a non-profit, community organisation who continue to support birth choices for local women.
In addition to promoting the Birth Centre, we hold monthly morning teas/playgroups, collate Welcome Bags for each family and demonstrate and sell wraps and slings.

TOWNSVILLE BIRTH CENTRE ADMISSION
The Townsville Birth Centre is located on the grounds of the Townsville Hospital in a separate building at the rear of the hospital. It is a self referral unit meaning you don’t require a referral from your GP. We recommend that you contact the Birth Centre (Ph: 4433 2779) early in your pregnancy as the midwives caseloads fill quickly.
